This is a place to learn about the brain in a relaxed manner. You may realize by now that with over 100 billion neurons in the cortex of the brain and cerebellum (interestingly, the small cerebellum contains 50% of that 100 billion), and with many connections, tracts, areas and functions, for those who are interested, this section offers a review of basic brain anatomy and function. So before it becomes deep and difficult, let’s have some fun!
Let’s begin with the activities of laboratory mice at night, when they have the place to themselves. They feign sleep and hunger during the day, but at night . . . well, the night belongs to them.
